Because I Care Too Much

THE XX – INFINITY (FLUFFTRONIX REMIX) (320 kbps)

FLUFFTRONIX – SHARK ATTACK (320 kbps)

I’m not exactly sure how I’m supposed to feel about these fall/winter 2010 fashion ad campaigns– Lanvin confused the hell out of me with their head-spinning video campaign that is bound to cause some seizures for the faint-hearted out there. But I can forgive Lanvin, because their kooky style is endearing in many ways, and in all honesty I just can’t bring myself to hate on whichever marketing genius gave me my favourite weirdest menswear ad featuring George Barnett and the infamous lurking cat campaign. But why did the people at Alexander Wang come up with that uninspired mess of a debut video campaign? Have people not gotten over using the standard hair-flinging girl dancing sensually in her dirty hipsteresque drug shack as their ~inspiration~? Polar opposite to however visually boring the campaign is, the music selection for the campaign is beyond superb. The deep and dark remix by Flufftronix of The XX’s Infinity remains one of my favourite XX remixes and lord knows there are a lot of XX remixes to choose from. So fresh and heavy. Also, check out this crazy hyper track that Flufftronix recently finished called Shark Attack, for all your shark-chomping and mad bass needs.
