The Jealous Guys are back again, but what do you expect? These guys are destined to do big things. This time round they’re here with the recently leaked “Love You So” taken from the the eagerly anticipated “The Love” Mixtape and god it’s good. The production for this particular track comes from a fairly mysterious duo from London who go by the name Solomon & Finder, and it has to be said they did a brilliant job. The piano dances over the rough drums accompanied by the eerie voice of a woman creating a hauntingly emotional soundscape which comes to life when the distorted guitar bursts through the chorus. All the while The Jealous Guys weave their word play magic with a maturity in their craft beyond their years. The flow is never forced and their voices are filled with soul and conviction that helps turn this joint into something beautiful.

So after the beautiful beat Solomon & Finder crafted for The Jealous Guys, I waited with baited breath to see what the track Weather had in store for me, I wasn’t disappointed. It chops and changes, never allowing the listener to stay in one place, pushing them in new directions. The track begins with dis-bodied voice chiming a sort of lullaby hum. Then life is unexpectedly taken out of the song for a moment and then all of a sudden you are cleansed by the lush vocals. The percussion throughout is outstanding, it shows such originality and vision from the two artists. The down tempo pattern drifts the song along all the while the leaning on the hi-hat creates a wonderful movement within the track. Overall it’s such we well considered piece, it’s hard to think this is just a demo.
