Spring is so beautiful. It’s all about long, sunny days and even longer, sunnier house remixes. Right now anyone who’s anyone is sacking off work to laze around in the park and tweet about drinking alcohol before the big yellow thing in the sky goes down. And any afternoon spent in the great outdoors (or your nearest local patch of grass) wouldn’t be complete without an eight minute house monster to tickle your eardrums, right? And who better to provide a little extra heat than 100% Silk? We’re big fans of the LA-based label and their ultra sexy disco and house releases, and even bigger fans of the marvellously weird producer Ital. Earlier this year we found ourselves falling for Daniel Martin-McCormick’s first full-length release as Ital on Planet Mu and this time around we’ve got a collaboration between Ital and Magic Touch. The two are already known for making gold together under the Mi Ami moniker, so the fact that this cut is pure glory shouldn’t come as a surprise. Ital’s rework adds a little gospel shine to the dirty filth of the original, bringing the church choir vocals out to play with disco synths until you’re entranced in an orgasmic reverie. Yes, really. This is remix alchemy at its finest: a little bit of dancefloor bounce and a whole field full of feelgood.
