Today I found out Femme en Fourrure means woman in fur in English (which is kind of logical now that I think of it), and I found out Drop The Lime means lâche le citron in French. The more you know! The musically and esthetically beautiful Helsinki duo Femme en Fourrure got the bass vampire from NY to put a characteristic Lime twist to their latest single for Discobelle: Dirty Blonde. He’s done it well. In the words of Femme en Fourrure he perked up their track with his own sound while carefully handling the originally vibe. The result is a gripping track that sounds kind of imminent, with careful use of vocals but is at the same time a very dancelike entirety.

There are two bonuses to go with this post. The first one is a little notice about Femme en Fourrure. Juuso, who subsists half of this formation, has a little side project going on called KA SO RE. As I have bags to pack I will just tell you it’s heartwarming music and leave it at this. Let me refer to the Top Billin blog post he wrote himself that’s located here where he tells you more about this synthpop band. I highly urge you to give them a pat on the back and leave them some love mail as I wouldn’t be sad if they would release more after this single.
Secondly, there’s another clash of genies. I have never found out what this Bacardi B-Live project exactly is, but I reckon they get really drunk at the Bacardi headquarters and make phone calls to their favourite producers and offer them a lot of money to make tunes. They’re probably paying the biggest DJs around a couple of thousand dollars to play a dj-set in a basement to some of their friends. Whether this is true or not, I don’t know, but the tracks they put on Soundcloud don’t lie – remember when Brodinski remixed Edu K and when Clasixx remixed Drop The Lime? Superb.
