Truancy Volume 4: Qoso

It wouldn’t hit you like a thunderbolt when I tell you that Paris-based DJ and producer Qoso is one of the most exciting and captivating artists out there at the moment. You have known this for a long time already. Qoso has been on the move since we spoke to him. After some excellent remixes for Radioclit and Milke, sweating mixtapes (Happy Slappin, Secousse and Bayoobayoo) and a handful of tracks playlisted by Brodinski, Jess & Crabbe and Zombie Disco Squad even before they were officially out, Qoso recently released his very first EP on Fool House called Expo. Expo includes three diamonds of productions, remixed by the likes of Gary Beck and Clement Meyer. Qoso, Fool Houses clean cut yet wild child, shares the obsession of his generation for exoticism and rave music, taking this daringly and teaches young people the way to take dancing seriously. Being an ex-turntablist, Qoso knows how to renew the taste for samples in techno music, as a composition tool and not as a simple gimmick. Inspired by Project Pat as well as Dusty Kid and Marascia, between synthetic drugs and luxury clockwork, sadistic jolts and micro techno rebounds, his crossover is peculiar, radical and always surreal.

There are no words to describe how extremely psyched we are to present you the fourth volume of our Truancy mixtape series – exclusively mixed by the man himself. Qoso takes you on a grabbing fifty minutes voyage with Josh Wink, Marc Houle and a Stephane Bodzin remix of Depeche Mode amongst other tracks that will blow you away straight off. Qoso’s supreme mixing makes TRUANCY VOLUME 4: QOSO an out-of-this-world listen. You can take it from here yourself, have a lovely time getting a kick out of this marvelous mix!
