Where Love is Not a Foreigner Concept

When I listen to this edit I imagine either sitting on a yacht in the pacific or else, at the other extreme, standing on a snowy plainsĀ  in blinding sunlight. Bath-based Irishman Holmes Price is back on an 80s tip, taking Foreigner’s I Want To Know What Love Is and moulding and stretching it into something a world away from its… is it safe to say total cheeseball origins? He strips back most of the vocal, merely dropping repeated refrains over swooning, drifting synths that make you kind of happy it’s ice cold outside and you’re all wrapped up to fight the elements. When I’m in Cali next month I’m going to blast the shit out this to see if my alternate weather-scape theory works. Wherever you are, take love with you.
