Going in completely the opposite direction of my more up beat post with Klever, a majorly wet morning followed by a sky completely covered with Cirrocumulus Clouds in Brighton has seen my mood somewhat relaxed and complaisant and I’d like to thank Woolfy’s new EP for this and I want to thank him a lot. Taking my favourite track track Looking Glass from his debut album If You Know Whats Good For Ya! released as a joint partnership between labels Rong and DFA, Woolfy revisits the track for a wonderful extended version that expands on all the qualities that the original had. The intro for starters is beautifully lengthened and allows for the standout synth of the original to be infused melodically with a layer of dreamy chord progression. This one goes deep for sure. DFA take on Cynic label head Foolish Felix and Australian DJ duo Canyons for remixes and the outcome is very special indeed. A bit of old school acid house anyone? Support the EP by buying it here!
