The world of dance music can sometimes be incredibly po-faced when you consider that really its whole purpose is to help people lose their shit and have a good time. Thats why its great when you find a song that just embraces joie de vivre, and makes you smile the kind of smile you get when you find some crumpled bank notes in a jacket you’ve not worn for months. Mixpak have just released Cory Blaine‘s Hot Plate EP, and the title track marries a tasty little swing sample with Busta, a jacking house beat and the odd little bmore flourish to come up with something very fun indeed, and just the right sort of thing to help you find your party pants.
