Premiere: Sage Caswell – House Of Jeans

Following on from premieres from Guy Andrews and Samrai & Platt earlier this week, we’ve got another artist who has previously mixed a Truancy Volume for us since we started the series. Having teamed up with fellow producer and past collaborator Cromie for an hour long mix for us back in 2013, Sage Caswell has continued to carefully produce and release wonderfully crafted house music, as well as recent excursions into beatless sonic territory. His recent tape release Far Away Tapes 007 – Nite Lite comes as a collection of songs on this tip, recorded between 2013-2015 in apartment CL103 in East Hollywood. If you ever listened to his White Light series contribution, most of the tracks on there made their way over to the tape. His next record, titled House Of Jeans, sees him returning back to four-by-four grooves for three cuts on Huxley’s label No Idea’s Original, which is due for release early next month. We’re able to premiere the title track today, which is a brilliant example of how a collection of samples can repeat themselves and evolve in such a captivating way over an eight-minute duration. Perfect for bringing up a room.

Sage Caswell – House Of Jeans EP is out on No Idea’s Original on the 11th March.
