ACID WASHED – SNAKE (FUTURE BEAT ALLIANCE REMIX) (320 kbps)
The debut album of the Parisian solar duo Acid Washed is due in a couple of weeks, on which you can read more on TRUANTS at a later time. To reassure you that everything is going to be more than alright and not keep you waiting for too long, here is a remix that Matthew Puffett, who is also known under summer name Future Beat Alliance, did for their first single Snake. It is a worthy successor to the earlier trip-the-light-fantastic remix by DFA papoose Gavin Russom. You might remember Future Beat Alliance’s heavy-weighted remix for UNKLE that was released by Surrender All last autumn, and once again the Londoner proves to us that he knows how to handle the art of remixing, finer and more sharpened than before. The original track by Acid Washed holds amazing vocals by newcomer Barbara Panther, who sounds like an offset of Shingai Shoniwa, but Future Beat Alliance has chosen to filter out most of her enchanting hymns. This mister Alliance had better be careful but fortunately hit the nail on the head another time. The result sounds like a lovely piece of deep house that is perfect company in the clearance off the winter. Hopefully with this track on our sides we can seduce the brightest star to show her face to us more regularly. Until then we can sunbathe in this remix under a blanket with our eyes closed.
Seriously smooth remix.
Very, very cool, Im.
