Mosca – Tilt Shift

2010 is slowly coming to end and I just cant help but think people are starting their Top Of The Year lists a tad early when we’ve still got a good 11 days of releases to be had in 2010. One track I feel that people should re write their end lists to include is Tilt Shift by London producer Mosca. Now this has actually been in circulation for a long time now so its a big relief to see it finally getting a release on Fat City with remixes from Julio Bashmore and Burgaboy and track from Sully on the B Side. With 2010 being a such a big year for the 140bpm who would have thought a 100bpm track would come along and just reinvent the rule book with a sound so refreshing and original but at the same time still remain highly danceable. No lie, Tilt Shift has gone straight to the top of my ‘most played’ playlist in just a single day. Quite possibly one of the most catchiest and infectious beats of the year in my opinion. One of the things I admire the most from the track is how Mosca is able to create such a big tune whilst keeping the beat fairly stripped back to just the essentials. I didn’t know how to finish this post so I’m just going to end on a quote from his T Williams remix. “Ohh Mosca, you lift me higher, yes you do“. Continue taking us to those levels in 2011 Mosca.
