The Boy Who Cried Wolfie

After being offline for a little while, Belgian label Monkey See Monkey Do records surprised me with a nice little promo by US-based producer Wolfie. His latest, Moretto EP, is in my opinion very well produced and has a nice bossa-ish groove while maintaining the tech-house feel. The EP features remixes from labelowner Bongo, Hector & Nate, The Quest and a nice little Malente edit. Only just available over at Beatport and already getting full support and huge response from the likes of Yolanda Be Cool, Larry Tee, Highbloo, Harvard Bass, Momma’s Boy and many more. Best track for me would have to be Cakes. Filled with all kinds of percussion and other live elements, the track builds up slowly to a drop that might sound a bit strange in the beginning but will make your fingers snap once you get into it. Carnival Vibes, i think, is a little more appealing to the bigger crowd, reminding me a bit of Riva Starr, only ‘techier’. I suggest you head over to beatport and check the EP out yourself. Tip: if you buy the EP, mail your receipt to msmdstickers@gmail.com . You guessed it, free stickers!
