Alright, devoted Truants readers? No? What’s that you say? You’re discontent? You’re thirsty? Thirsty for some juicy UKG goodness? You want the thrills of a well-thought out garage remix to drip into your soul like the nectar of the luscious exotic fruit that you find in the Sainsbury’s Finest section? It’s been too long since you heard the squeak of your pristine Air Max skanking to a filthy bassline? You want something fresh, but you also want something that wouldn’t sound out of place at an early 90s warehouse rave? You need it to have the kind of euphoric vocal sample that makes you fall in love with every clubber you make eye contact with? But you’d also be partial to a little grime bar or two? Put simply, you want nothing more than some good noises to dance to? Look no further. We spoil you. You’re welcome. Leeds-based producer Grind is no rookie when it comes to developing deliciously hectic remixes, having worked with the likes of RSS, Kidnap Kid and Truants favourite Hackman. The producer has always made fresh UK sounds a priority, so it’s no surprise to see him working with rising grime legends Boy Better Know. His recent EP released alongside fellow producer/DJ KingThing on East London label Infrasonics was also an absolute pleasure. Sadly Mr.Grind recently announced that his magnificent Mosca remix won’t see an official release date, but luckily he’s been very busy on the clubbing circuit recently so you can put the Kleenex away, friends. And in the meantime, there’s always this tasty little number…
