KAP BAMBINO – BATCAVES (JACKSON REMIX) (192 kbps)
This post goes out to our Amsterdam readers and the people who are located in our environs mainly. Or to anyone else that will be in Kush City March 26th. When you’re reading this and you’re able to end up your night or rather start it in the Dam: Beesmunt & The Walk 72 are hosting Genesis at Paradiso with a line-up that will make you lose your head. This smooth collective booked nobody less than BREAKBOT, JACKSON, DSL & BOOMBASS to come rock the house. A great assembly of even greater artists! Former Moshi Mosher and current Ed Banger delegate Breakbot is holy as a Saint (and looks like one, too). He has recently been destroying the place with his latest EP Baby I’m Yours, his Valentine’s mix tape and the remix he did for Kavinsky‘s Nightcall (of which we’re giving away one picture disc here). He has made quite a name for himself for actually being one of the rare DJs who do crazy interesting sets with Ableton. Next up is Jackson, the pseudonym of Jackson Fourgeaud, and short for Jackson and his Computer Band. Yes, he’s the dude that made a killer debut on Warp a number of years back and got even more exposure later from that one remix he once did for those two guys who made it really big. He’s also the guy who looks like a 80’s magician in most of his promotional pictures and who has been around for quite some time now. But forget about all of this, and focus on his (vocals by his four years old niece!) musical capabilities if you will. A great talent and we’re glad we get to see him again! Up next is D.S.L, however I prefer them to call them the DSL Bros. Their most recent labor is their Stupid Bitches EP. They made this transition from being the French kind of rappers that non-French ‘don’t get’ to a wider audience and are now reaching out to all of us with their fresh electronic hip-hop game. Once again these are also goody-goody godchildren of Pedro Winter. Boombass made you an ill house tape recently that I want you to hear. He also wrote Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes once when he kidnapped Etienne De Crécy’s partner in crime Zdar for a collaboration. All in all, a huge line-up.
Don’t know about you, but I’m psyched. And this isn’t even all there is to it, check out the Facebook event page here for the rest of the line-up. One last time (and do not ask us again or we’ll put a gun to your head), we’re talking Genesis here which takes place at Paradiso, Friday March 26th. We’re also giving 2×2 tickets away for this event! If you’d like to win a pair holler at us at immy @truantsblog.com, with Genesis as subject. The two best hollers will be rewarded with a +1. We expect to see you there!
isn’t that the Jackson remix of Kap?
For a sec I was thinking the guy/girl on that pic was Bill from Tokio Hotel. Wouff!!
