Virgo – Home Alone

Call me a grinch all you want but am I the only one who just doesn’t get excited about Christmas anymore. Lots of toys I kind of wish I still received have been replaced by single boring cards with boring money in it. I want to wake up to find a Scaletrix or some Mighty Max toys again. I find it amusing that the thing I look forward to the most at Christmas now, is the increase of tips at work. Yes, that is true. However an EP and a track in particular, recently released on London Grime label No Hats No Hoods has put me back in the festive mood.  Nottingham producer Mr V also know as Virgo finally drops his Cinema EP consisting of 3 tracks Cinema, Boy Better Know and Home Alone, all of which have been doing the rounds on the Grime circuit the last couple of months. JME did a track with Cinema which he put up on his youtube channel and Wiley even did a little freestyle over Home Alone via his highly entertaining Ustream and its definitely all about the track Home Alone. Taking the classic Home Alone theme song, Virgo reworks it into a mammoth grime instrumental! Grime may not be to everyones taste but these instrumentals set levels for grime production. Essential in my eyes! Buy it here.

Also whilst were still on the topic of ‘No Hats No Hoods’ Mumdance released his Tarahtid EP a couple of weeks back on said label, so for those who missed it, be sure to cop it. He recently did a pretty big mix appropriately titled ‘The Mumentum Mix’ with lots of nice exclusives and and little preview of some of the tracks on his forthcoming remix package. Tis nice.

      1. Yeah your right, my mistake. Although! From The Drop hadn’t been released yet then so it could have been a freestyle back then hahah
