It’s Friday night, beautiful weather – let’s get drunk together. Don’t we all live by these wise, yet completely idiotic words? I guess so. And I guess there’s a subtle truth to this exposing and confrontational phrase. It’s Friday – well, yes, but that’s only once a week. Interesting note on the side: have you ever noticed how, despite each human being individual and unique, and thus we share nothing in common, yet nevertheless we do share not one, but two things in common: firstly, we are born and we die; and secondly, we all experience Fridays once a week. How peculiar. We cannot escape the laws set by our 7-days-a-week program. Hmmmmm. Whatever, it’s beautiful weather, let’s get drunk together instead of thinking of this nonsense!
So what’s this all about now? Why does Elvis always ramble in his first paragraph? Well – blame not me, you chose to read down so far! I force you not to read what I write, but thank you (that is, if you’ve read this far down) for actually coming this far. I thank one person more: James Blake for his fantastic and long-awaited EP Klavierwerke. The term “Klavierwerke” roughly translates to “piano works”. An intriguing title, which makes us immediately believe this EP has something to do with pianos. Well, in this case there is, unfortunately, no twist to the title. It’s not deceiving – it does indeed have tracing roots of some beautiful piano works. The release will be digitally available as of October 10th, though it was purchasable in Flac in one store yesterday. I have for you a little preview below, and in a few days you’ll be able to buy it here.
