Collaborations are great aren’t they?  Great minds coming together, sharing skills and ideas, all contributing into making one final amazing outcome. I often have trouble sleeping at night at the thought of dream collaborations. Just imagine if in some off shoot parallel universe Obama and Lincoln are jamming in some garage, making some crazy acid bass lines. Imagine if Socrates and Aristotle are locked away in some room full of synthesizers making the most complex melodies EVER know to man. IMAGINE! Sadly, these collaborations will never ever see the light of day. They’re probably not even possible in dreams, let alone real life. Who am I to complain though, when we’ve got collabs coming through in the form of Baobinga, Mensah and DVA, all putting their brains together to release a nice double  helping of crunk and bass, that has to be one of my standout releases this month. Released on Baobingas own imprint Build, its the Mensah collab that I’ve been caning the most with its ‘anthemic’ synth ridden melodies. The Baobinga & DVA track on the flip side is also worth its weight in gold so be sure to check it out too!  At only the 4th release and an already superb back catalog the Build label is one to look out for in 2011.
