Up bright and early tomorrow for a day in London and hitting Fabric for the first time so I’m a little bit excited and yeah sleep right now is easier said than done, so just dropping a post off to tell you about this guy Phaeleh’s most recent single out on Skream’s label Disfigured Dubz. Having only recently released his album Fallen Light back in October the Bristolian producer follows it up with a splendid little number titled Fallen backed with a remix from fellow Disfigured Dubz artist Kulture. I always find the best songs are the ones that get you thinking and this song in particular just flooded my mind of times when I was younger, looking and scouring through old mixtapes and listening in on Pirate Radio stations in bed at insane hours of the morning. Looking for songs that again got you thinking and that just made you feel ‘good’. Songs which I often never got to hear again. I unfortunately lost the ‘list’ I built up with a friend, of amazing tracks we’d write down after hearing them but if I still had it this song would make the list. Beautifully constructed with flowing melodic arrangements and thought provoking vocal snippets, it’s tracks like these which remind me how I fell in love with music. Full support on this one.
