Oh, I’m very delighted to tell you about the creative process behind Nightcall, Kavinsky‘s new EP that will be launched on 23rd April through Record Makers. I think it will be in favour of all the readers who are planning on setting up a label to tell you step by step how to come to such a big termination.  Step one: Take away Kavinsky’s mobile devices in order to stop him from cyber-bullying Jamaica, the always merry SebastiAn and his “stepson” Surkin. This is the first and foremost move in order to succeed. Step two: Obey to Kavinsky’s orders at any time so that he won’t go all hellbent and red-eyed on his excessive studio crew. When he asks for a certain-sized bowl of Black Monukka grapes, get one of the three persons who take care of his leather jackets to find those grapes already. Step three: Call up your homie, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (that one guy from that obscure band), and ask him if he likes to produce the sensual French hymn of a song, Nightcall. Step four: Get an even more sensual lady to do some vocals. What about Lovefoxxx, the girl who is tired of being sexy? When Kavinsky agrees upon doing some vocals too, you are obliged to give him your soul. Step five: Buy fifty packs of Gauloises and ask SebastiAn to mix the single in exchange for the trunk of nicotine, he will most definitely agree on this. Step six: Get one of Kavinskys best friends to do another remix, his pseudonym can be the name of that Vietnamese actor from 21 Jump Street. And what about disco-monster Breakbot? We have all been jamming to Baby I’m Yours this month. Step seven: Let Kavinsky do his Grand Theft Auto kind of thing on a second production. Step eight: Poke The-Always-Employed Pedro and ask him to send over a good friend of the Ed Banger congress to remix this car chase adventure. Jackson would be sweet. Step nine: Result.

Honestly though, Record Makers and more importantly Kavinsky have done a absurd job with this EP and slightly alleviated our Kavinsky hunger.
