With Night Slugs winning best label of the month on Resident Advisor and Girl Unit’s Wut destroying clubs world wide, I think we can safely say that Future Garage/Dubstep is taking over at the moment and I for one am super excited to see where the genre takes us in 2011. One artist who should make a big splash in 2011 is Skanky. Gonna cut to the chase with this one. Got linked up to this kid’s soundcloud the other day and well quite frankly, excuse my language here, was fucking blown away by two of the tracks on there. The production is seriously impressive. Hailing from London 16 year old Skanky may have only been producing for 2 years now but his tracks rival that of some of the biggest veterans on the now booming Future Garage scene. His way with working and cutting up vocals is really something to be marvelled at and can be wonderfully heard in his tracks Do You and 13 which you can stream below or on his soundcloud. This producer has literally popped out of nowhere so there isn’t much hype for him at the moment but this sure to change with Cedaa and fellow bloggers Buzzard Beats already tipping him in their recent charts. It’s only a matter of time before the big guns grab a hold of him I’m sure. Look out for a debut release on Templar Sound soon.
