You Can’t Direct the Wind, But You Can Adjust Your Sails

So apparently it’s almost summer in the Northern Hemisphere, wherever that is. Though around 90% of the earth’s population hangs out there so I suppose it’s not fictional. Anyroad, I’m relatively jealous. See I’ve always had a prime interest in chilling out, and through extensive research I’m going to decide summer chillin’ is best. In fact I’m going to guesstimate that I spend about 86% (4 sentences and two percentages already? I’m going to have to be completely moronic for the rest of this article for the sake of balance) of my time chilling out. And then 13% of the time I’m spending finding music to facilitate both my chilling out needs, and my final 1% – dancing in my bedroom, in my underwear, in the middle of the night (just picture Jack Black in a mankini, doing the robot. Got it? That’s me).

I don’t want to say too much about the music because I think a lot of the time preconceptions, hype or any form of anticipation can ruin it. And you’re really not meant to over-think this kind of music either. Just sort of let all the sounds and voices flow through your mind without completely registering.

Yeh, you’re doing it.

  1. Love Caribou :D Manage to bag myself a copy of “Odessa Remixes” on vinyl today. Was very pleased.

  2. Why have I never heard anyone say ‘guesstimate’ before? Haha it is very LOL! You should produce under that name Tom!!!
