This Is My House

Ich weiss nicht wattup with you guys, but it’s been so hot in Berlin for the last three weeks that one could only barely move. And although this city has plenty to offer to make up for the immense heat, like seeing your favourite deep techno DJ’s covering Jimi Hendrix on broken guitars in empty cafes, running into your favourite American writers in shady alleys and lots of acid music everywhere – it’s just too hot to enjoy it. And before this article turns into my personal travelogue, I will now twist the story a little to tell you it was pouring rain yesterday night, or as the Germans say, Platzregen. I actually couldn’t remember this kind of weather anymore. When I woke up this morning, it was actually breezy inside the house. I could move again. I could breathe. I felt alive. I didn’t have to force myself to stay in bed until noon, listening to Elvis Costello, daydreaming about Siberia and ice cream, like I did the last couple of weeks. And then something amazing happened. One of the original Truants steez artists, Bobmo, posted his new mix on Institubes.com. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the notification. Packed with Berliner goodies as well as an appearance by Dam maestros Roger And The Walk, this mix is actually what I’ve been longing for since I first stepped foot in Berlin. Some new Bobmo thrown in there as well, and some other material that will satisfy all the needs of Institubes nerds. Download it here or feel free to stream it directly.
